Concerned about plastics/microplastics pollution in your community?
Our mission is to end plastic pollution in the Ozarks.
Beyond plastics pairs the wisdom of environmental policy experts with the energy and creativity of grassroots advocates to build a vibrant and effective movement to end plastic pollution.
Show-Me Less Plastic is offering a 2026 Plastic Learning Series beginning on January 19 and continuing every other Monday until March 16. Sessions will also be recorded for viewing later. Single use plastic bags are a source of plastics pollution that often escapes into the environment or is sent to landfills. Bringing your own reusable bag for shopping is a way to eliminate this type of pollution. Our project will start with educational tables at local farmer's markets where we will distribute information about plastic/microplastic pollution and provide reusable bags.
We will provide presentations and lead discussions about microplastics upon request. Our particular emphasis will be on research and projects in the Ozarks along with providing materials on why microplastics are so concerning.
